Albums

The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and several compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band performed sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group, and the band held auditions for the new frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several demos and tapes from the past to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was a hit by fans, and the band embarked on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro, and Joseph Williams.

In the course of the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun The drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live album titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with Toto.

Toto has released a variety of music videos. The band has also released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The band's most popular video is "Africa" which has more than one billion views. The video takes place in a library, and shows the band performing on top of a pile of books about Africa.

Toto is famous for their hit single "Africa", recently joined forces to promote their upcoming album, All In. The album was released on November 6, 2018, and included three songs from the forthcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, as well as recorded versions of four older tracks featuring Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also featured the cover of Weezer's track "Hash Pipe" that the band decided to add after hearing a rendition on the radio.
